FACING THE TRUTH

I have spent the last 30 years or more trying to get my ideas about how the human mind functions accepted without success.   A number of conclusions could be reached from the above words.

Firstly,  my ideas are ridiculous and that is why they are not being accepted.  Secondly, they do make sense, but my lifestyle, [being a cab driver for 32 years] is not exactly a ringing endorsement for them.

Thirdly, the idea that I believe in a Creator turns many people off and indicates that I am still susceptible to superstitious beliefs.  In reality I have put forward --- The Religion Of Truth --- which seeks to do away with superstition as much as possible.  Fourthly, fear is considered to be a weakness, not the invaluable strength that I put forward for it.

I believed that the acceptance of my ideas about fear and its affect on human behavior, would make my ideas about a new religion valuable also.  Neither has happened.   In reality, the new religion tries to overcome the false reaction to fear that pervades most, if not all, of the existing religions.

That is, our fear of death is the main reason why the existing religions have put forward an imaginary belief in an after-life of one kind or another.  The R of T does not offer any kind of life after death.

The incredible miracle of life is indeed its own reward.   Asking for some kind of eternal existence is like denigrating the miracle of life as if it is a waste of time unless the potential for eternal life is included.

I have decided to back off for the time being.  Perhaps the time is not right for my ideas to be accepted.  Perhaps they never will be.   In this regard I will put forward the following quotation that I have recently come in contact with:

"Those who think that something is impossible need to get out of the way of those who are trying their best to make it happen."
